Evidence RRB Accepts-
- NCERT textbooks (Class 6–12)
- Standard reference books (e.g., Lucent GK, R.S. Aggarwal)
- Official government gazettes or PIB releases
- Previous RRB official answer keys for the same question
- Published scientific or academic papers
Evidence RRB Does NOT Accept
- Screenshots from coaching institute apps
- YouTube video links or handwritten notes
- Social media posts or WhatsApp forwards
- Unverified blog posts or news articles
- Coaching institute PDF materials without source
What is the purpose of releasing answer key?
The answer key helps candidates to:
- Verify their attempted answers against the correct responses.
- Calculate their estimated/probable score before the official result.
- Raise objections if any discrepancy is found.
What is the RRB NTPC Marking Scheme?
Using the RRB NTPC Undergraduate Level Answer Key 2026, the candidates can estimate their scores. For calculating the marks, candidates need to follow the marking scheme released by the board.
| Type of Answers | Marks Allotted |
| No. of Questions | 100 |
| Correct Answer | +1 |
| Wrong/Incorrect Answer | -⅓ mark |
| Blank Answer | 0 |
How to Calculate Marks Using the RRB NTPC Answer Key?
- For the correct answers, add one mark. If any answer is wrong, then deduct 1/3 marks
- Add all the marks for correct answers
- Add all the marks for incorrect answers
- In the end, deduct the total marks for correct answers from the incorrect answers. This will give a probable score.
To find your actual score out of the questions attempted, use this formula:
{Raw Score} = {Total Correct}) - {Total Incorrect X ⅓}
Example:
If you attempted 90 questions, where 72 were correct and 18 were incorrect:
- Positive Marks: 72
- Negative Marks: 18 X 0.33 = 6
- Raw Score: 72 - 6 = 66
RRB NTPC Minimum Qualifying Marks
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories:
- UR – 40%
- EWS – 40%
- OBC (non-creamy layer) - 30%
- SC – 30%
