The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has conducted the Prelims Exam on 11th and 13th April 2026 to recruit 650 vacancies for the posts of Assistants in RBI. Lakhs of candidates who appeared in the exam are now waiting for RBI Assistant Prelims Result, which is expected to be released soon at the RBI official website www.rbi.org.in. The result will be released in the PDF format, announcing the roll numbers of candidates who are shortlisted to appear for the mains exam.

 The results for each stage will be released separately online, and candidates need to check their results from the official website to check their qualifying status for the next round. After the completion of the prelims exam, the RBI Assistant Prelims Result will be released at www.rbi.org.in. The candidates whose roll number appears in the result PDF will be declared qualified in the prelims exam and will be eligible to appear for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., the mains exam, which is scheduled for 7th June 2026.

1. Visit the official website – https://opportunities.rbi.org.in /.
2. Select the Result Tab.
3. On the result page, click on the “Result of Online Preliminary Examination held on 11th and 13th April 2026 for Recruitment for the Post of Assistant - 2026” link.
4. A new page opens. Click on the link with the Text "Roll Numbers of Candidates Shortlisted for Mains Exam".
5. A PDF appears on your screen. The list of qualified candidates for the Prelims examination is shown. Now, press “Ctrl+F” and search your Roll No.
6. If you have qualified, your Roll Number is highlighted.
7. Download or save your RBI Assistant Prelims Result 2026 PDF for future reference.

RBI Assistant Result 2026 Merit List PDF

RBI Assistant Result 2026 for the Prelims Exam will be uploaded in PDF format with the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the Mains Exam by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in May 2026 at its official website https://www.rbi.org.in. Important: The marks scored in prelims exam will not be counted in final merit list as the final selection of candidates will depend on the score obtained by candidates in Mains Exam. However, scoring more than cut off mark is important to be eligible to appear for mains exam.

What After RBI Assistant Result 2026?

After the release of the RBI Assistant Prelims Result, the candidates whose roll numbers will appear in the result PDF will be eligible to appear for the next stage of the selection process, i.e., the mains exam. After which, the selected candidates will be called for a Language Proficiency Test, which will be qualifying in nature.
