CUET Exam Pattern 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) made some changes to the CUET UG Exam Pattern last year that will be followed for the CUET 2024 Exam also. The students who have been preparing for CUET 2024 Exam for admission into the various UG programmes must go through the updated CUET Exam Pattern and prepare for the entrance test accordingly. NTA has now divided the CUET Exam into 4 different sections where two sections are for language, one for domain subject, and one for the general test. CUET Exam Pattern 2024- Overview

All the candidates planning to appear in the upcoming CUET UG 2024 Examination 2024 are informed that the CUET 2024 Exam will be divided into four different sections. The CUET 2024 UG test is scheduled to be conducted in hybrid mode i.e., online (computer-based test) or offline mode (pen and paper mode). This year, candidates will be only allowed to choose up to six subjects, instead of ten. CUET UG Exam Pattern 2024 [Latest]

NTA will also conduct the CUET 2024 Entrance Exam in 13 different shifts which are Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu. Check the revised exam pattern for CUET 2024 from here.

1. CUET 2024 will be conducted in an online mode as Computer Based Test-CBT.

2. The CUET 2024 entrance test will be conducted in three different slots. The duration of the first slot is 120 minutes and the duration of the second slot is 120 minutes. The duration of the CUET UG exam for the third slot is 180 minutes.

3. CUET (UG) – 2024 will consist of the following 4 sections namely-

1. Section IA – 13 Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu)
2. Section IB – 20 Languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Sanskrit.)
3. Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects (listed below)
4. Section III – General Test

4. The question paper will be Multiple Choice Question type only.

5. Section IA & IB- A candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB taken together. (One of the languages chosen needs to be in lieu of Domain-specific subjects) 

6. Section II offers 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects. 

7. Section III comprises the General Test. 

8. For each correct answer the candidates will be awarded +5 marks while 01 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

9. For choosing Languages (up to 3) from Section IA and IB and a maximum of 6 Subjects from Section II and General Test under Section III, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.

The students appearing for the upcoming CUET 2024 examination can check the CUET exam preparation tips here. 

1. Students must familiarize themselves with the entire CUET syllabus. Know the weightage of each topic to prioritize your study.
2. At the time of the examination time management is very crucial. Practice solving questions within the allocated time to improve your speed.
3. Students must choose good reference books recommended by teachers or experts. Their school books are essential, but additional resources can provide more in-depth knowledge.
4. Plan a realistic and consistent study schedule. Allocate time to each subject based on its importance and your proficiency.
5. The students must identify their weak areas and focus on them. Strengthening weaker subjects can significantly improve your overall performance.
6. Students are advised to practice solving the previous year's question papers and sample papers. This will help them understand the exam pattern and boost their confidence.
7. Students must take mock tests to simulate exam conditions. It helps in improving time management and gives you a feel of the actual examination.
