TNUSRB SI Physical Date 2026 Out for 1299 Vacancies, PMT PET in Feb

Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) aims to fill a total of 1299 vacancies for the posts of Sub-Inspector (Taluka and Armed Force) for both open and departmental. The selection of candidates for SI posts under pay scale Rs. 36900 - Rs. 116600/- is based on Written Exam, PET, Certification Verification, and Viva-voce. 

TNUSRB has conducted the first stage of the TNUSRB Sub-Inspector (SI) written examination. Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their performance in the written test are now shortlisted for Certificate Verification (CV), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Endurance Test (ET), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). As per the official schedule, TNUSRB SI CV, PMT, ET & PET will be conducted between 24th February and 2nd March 2026.

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) invited online applications from Bachelor’s Degree holders to fill  1299 vacant posts under Sub Inspector (SI). TNUSRB SI Vacancy 2026

Through the TNUSRB Direct Examination 2026, the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has announced a total of 1299 vacancies for sub-inspector posts for the Taluka and Armed Forces. Out of the total vacancies, 933 are released for the Taluk force and 366 for the Armed Reserve force.

TNUSRB SI Application Fee 2026

The candidates are required to pay the application fee while filling out the application form. The mode of payment is both online (net banking/credit card/debit card) and offline (State Bank of India Cash Challan). The application fee is non-refundable; that is, it cannot be redeemed once paid.

TNUSRB SI Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfil the TNUSRB SI Eligibility Criteria for Sub Inspector posts. The eligibility will be determined in terms of educational qualification and age limit. 

Educational Qualification

• The candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree obtained from any institution/university recognised by the UGC or the government.
• Candidates who have obtained bachelor’s degrees through open universities.
• The Bachelor’s Degree should have been obtained in the following patterns -
  a) After completion of SSLC and Higher Secondary course in the order of 10+2+3 / 4 / 5 pattern (OR)
  b) After completion of SSLC and Diploma in the order of 10+3+2 / 10+3+3 pattern (OR)
  c) After completion of SSLC and 2 years ITI in the order of 10+2+3 pattern

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)

The candidate's minimum age should be 20 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 30 years to apply online for TNUSRB SI Recruitment 2026. Candidates must have born on or after 02.07.1995 and on or before 01.07.2005.

The selection of candidates for Sub Inspector (SI) posts is based on candidates' performance in the following stages-

• PET (Physical Examination Test) [No PET for Departmental Candidates]

TNUSRB SI 2026 Exam Pattern

For Open Candidates

• The written exam comprises two parts: Part 1 for the Tamil Eligibility Test and Part 2 for the Mains Written Exam.
• Candidates must score 40 marks in Part 1 (the Tamil eligibility test) and 25 marks (35%) in Part 2.
• The duration of Part 1 is 1 hour 40 minutes, and the duration of Part 2 is 2½ hours.
• The Tamil Eligibility Test is qualifying in nature, while the Main Written Examination is scoring.

For Departmental Candidates

• The written exam comprises two parts: Part 1 for the Tamil Eligibility Test and Part 2 for the Mains Written Exam.
• Candidates must score 40 marks in Part 1 (the Tamil eligibility test) and 30 marks (35%) in Part 2.
• The duration of Part 1 is 1 hour 40 minutes and the duration of Part 2 is 3 hours.
• The Tamil Eligibility Test is qualifying in nature, while the Main Written Examination is scoring.

TNUSRB SI Salary Structure

As per the TNUSRB SI Notification 2026, Sub Inspector will receive the basic pay, ranging from Rs. 36,900/- to Rs. 1,16,600/- per month, along with house rent allowance (HRA), dearness allowance (DA), Provident Fund (PF) benefits, and medical facilities.

TNUSRB SI 2026 Cut Off 

The cut off marks for the Tamil Test and the Main Exam will be announced on the official TINUSRB website after the exams. Those who clear the minimum cut off will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. The final TNUSRB SI 2026 cutoff will be released after the completion of document verification.
