TNUSRB SI Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written examination. The exam pattern details are given below;
- The written exam comprises two parts:
- Part 1( Tamil Eligibility test) and Part 2 (Mains). Candidates must score 40% in part 1( Tamil eligibility test ) to be eligible for part 2.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the Main Written Examination are 25 for the open candidates and 30 for departmental candidates.
- A single Tamil Eligibility Test will be held for both Open Quota and Departmental Quota candidates.
- The exam is to be conducted in offline mode.
- The Tamil Eligibility Test consists of 100 questions

TNUSRB SI Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2025 for SI Taluk, Ar, TSP
The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has released the TNUSRB Syllabus and Exam Pattern on their website at tnusrb.tn.gov.in
The Written examination for selecting Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk, AR& TSP ) consists of two parts:
Part 1: Tamil Language Eligibility Test, an objective-type test with 100 questions carrying 100 marks, lasting 100 minutes ( 1 hour 40 minutes). Candidates must score at least 40 marks (40%) to qualify for the main examination.
Part 2: Main Written Examination, comprising two sections:
Part A: General Knowledge, with 80 questions carrying 40 marks.
Part B: Logical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Psychological Test, Communication Skills , and Information Handling Ability, with 60 questions carrying 30 marks.
The total test marks are 70, and candidates must score at least 25 marks to qualify.
Part I: Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Common for Open Quota and Departmental Quota Candidates)

General Knowledge: The Syllabus will be the same as Open Quota Candidates - Part B – (70 Marks – 140 Questions)
Psychology Test: The syllabus for the Psychological Test will be the same as Open Quota Candidates. In addition to the above, the Departmental Quota candidates will have questions on the following police subjects in Part B.
