RBI Office Attendant 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for the RBI Office Attendant Recruitment 2026:

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

Candidates must fall in between 18 and 25 years to apply for the recruitment. Candidates born not earlier than 02/01/2001 and not later than 01/01/2008 (both days inclusive). 

Age Relaxation

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST)- By 5 years, i.e., up to 30 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)- By 3 years, i.e., up to 28 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)- By 10 years (GEN/EWS), 13 years (OBC) & 15 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen- To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to maximum of 50 years.
  • Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married- Upto 35 years (40 years for SC/ST)
  • Candidates having work experience in RBI - To the extent of number of years of such experience, subject to maximum of 3 years.

Educational Qualification (as on 01/01/2026)

  1. A candidate should have passed the 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from the concerned State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which he/she is applying. Such a qualification should be from a recognised board of that State/UT.
  2. In addition to the above, the candidate should be a domicile of the State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruitment Office to which he/she is applying.
  3. The candidate should be an undergraduate. Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
  4. Bank reserves the right to call for documents in support of the domicile status of the candidate.
  5. A candidate belonging to the Ex-servicemen category should have passed the 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) and rendered at least 15 years of defence service, provided they have not graduated outside the Armed Forces.
  6. Candidates applying to a recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/UT falling under that office.

RBI Bank Office Attendant Salary Structure

The starting basic pay of RBI Office Attendant is Rs. 24,250/- per month with pay scale of Rs. 24250 – 840 (4) – 27610 – 980 (3) – 30550 – 1200 (3) – 34150 -1620 (2) - 37390 – 1990 (4) - 45350 – 2700(2) - 50750 – 2800 (1) – 53550. Plus other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Grade Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial monthly Gross emoluments for Office Attendants are approximately Rs. 46,029/- per month. Office Attendants who will not be staying in the accommodation provided by the Bank will be eligible for House Rent Allowance @ 15% of pay.
