The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has released the HP TET Notification 2026 for the Teacher Eligibility Test November 2026. The online application process starts on 11 September 2026, and candidates can submit the application form without a late fee till 3 October 2026. Candidates who qualify for the HP TET 2026 exam will be provided an HP TET qualifying certificate whose validity will remain for a lifetime for all categories. There will be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can make to acquire a TET certificate.
The examination will be conducted from 22 November to 6 December 2026 for TGT Arts, TGT Medical, TGT Non-Medical, JBT, TGT Hindi, TGT Sanskrit, Punjabi, Urdu and two Special Educator categories. Candidates who wish to appear for more than one teaching category must submit a separate online application and pay the prescribed fee separately for each category.

The HP TET November 2026 application form is available online only through the official HPBOSE website from 11 September to 3 October 2026.
Candidates have to visit the HPBOSE website, select CET/Vacancy, and then choose HP TET November 2026 to access the application form.

The General and Subcategories (except PHH) has to pay Rs. 1200/- as HP TET Application Fees for other categories such as SC/ST/OBC/ PH, the application fee is Rs 700.

Steps to Apply Online for HP TET 2026
Once the link is officially activated, candidates can apply online for HP TET Nov 2026 from the official website. Here, we have provided simple steps to apply online for the convenience of candidates.
- Visit the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) at www.hpbose.org.
- Click on the New Registration link and fill out the Online Application Form by entering all required details. A unique application number will be generated.
- Sign in by entering the application number and date of birth.
- Upload his/her scanned images of the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the examination fee through online payment mode only.
- After the final submission of the online application form, download and take a printout of the application form, and retain it for future reference.

Age Limit
The age of the candidates who are applying for the HP TET Exam 2026 must not be less than 18 years. There is no upper age limit for appearing in HP TET.
HP TET 2026 Selection Process
Candidates appearing for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the HP TET Offline Exam. HP TET is an eligibility test only which means, qualifying HP TET does not guarantee jobs to the aspirants. They have to apply for recruitment at different schools based on the available vacancies which require HP TET Certification for which the candidates must score more or equal to 60% marks in order to get selected.
HP TET 2026 Exam Pattern
HP TET is a 150 marks exam that consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the HP TET exam. The duration of the HP TET exam will be 150 minutes. Have a look at the HP TET Exam Pattern 2026 for each paper below.

HPTET 2026 Admit Card
The HP TET November 2026 Admit Card will be available for download from the official HPBOSE website approximately 2 days before the respective examination. Admit cards will not be sent through post, fax or email.
HPTET 2026 Answer Key
HPBOSE will publish the provisional answer key on its official website after the written examination.
Candidates will be allowed to submit objections against the provisional answer key within 6 days from its publication. Objections received after the prescribed period will not be considered. After considering the challenges, subject experts will prepare the final answer key.
HPTET 2026 Results
The HP TET result will be prepared using a computerised OMR evaluation system. The result will be made available on the official HPBOSE website around a month period after exam is conducted.
