Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) is responsible for conducting the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET 2026) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts in the state. The notification for the HP TET Exam 2026 will be released soon, along with the registration schedule. To be eligible to appear for the exam, candidates first have to register themselves by filling out their application forms at the HPBOSE official website www.hpbose.org.
HP TET 2026 Notification
HP TET Notification 2026 for the HP TET Exam 2026 will be released soon by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education at their official website, www.hpbose.org. HP TET 2026 Exam-Highlights
Candidates interested in and looking for an opportunity to begin their career as a teacher in government & government-aided schools in Himachal Pradesh must know every detail about HP TET 2026 here. HPTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must fulfill the HP TET Eligibility 2026 to appear for the exam. Age Limit
The age of the candidates who are applying for the HP TET Exam 2026 must not be less than 18 years. However, there is no bar for an upper age limit.
Steps to Apply Online for HP TET 2026
Once the link is officially activated, candidates can apply online for HP TET 2026 from the official website. Here we have provided simple steps to apply online for the convenience of candidates.
- Visit the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) at www.hpbose.org.
- Click on the New Registration link and fill out the Online Application Form by entering all required details. A unique Application number will be generated.
- Sign In by entering the Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Upload his/her scanned images of the Photograph and Signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the examination fee through online payment mode only.
- After the Final Submission of the Online Application Form, download and take a printout of the Application Form, and retain it for future reference.
HP TET 2026 Application Fee
While submitting the online application for HP TET 2026 candidates have to pay the application fee through the online payment gateway. The General and Subcategories (except PHH) has to pay Rs. 1200/- as HP TET Application Fees for other categories such as SC/ST/OBC/ PH, the application fee is Rs 700.

HP TET 2026 Selection Process
Candidates appearing for the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in the HP TET Offline Exam. HP TET is an eligibility test only which means, qualifying HP TET does not guarantee jobs to the aspirants. They have to apply for recruitment at different schools based on the available vacancies which require HP TET Certification for which the candidates must score more or equal to 60% marks in order to get selected.
HP TET 2026 Exam Pattern
HP TET is a 150 marks exam that consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the HP TET exam. The duration of the HP TET exam will be 150 minutes. Have a look at the HP TET Exam Pattern 2026 for each paper below.

HPTET 2026 Admit Card
HPTET 2026 Admit Card will be released on official website for the candidates who have applied for HP TET 2026 Exam. The candidates will be able to click on the below link to download HPTET Hall Ticket and check complete details for the exam day.
HPTET 2026 Answer Key
HPBOSE will release the provisional HPTET Answer Key 2026 on the official website providing an opportunity to the candidates to challenge or raise objections to the Provisional Answer Key. The subject experts will assess all the challenges received by the candidates and then the final answer keys will be displayed on ctet.nic.in. The HPTET Result will be declared according to the final answer keys.
HPTET 2026 Results
The declaration of results will be done by HPBOSE after the examination of HPTET is conducted. The HPTET result will be declared within 04 (Four) weeks from the date of conduct of the examination. So the HPTET 2026 Result will be declared tentatively after a month of the exam date.
