ECGC PO 2025 Important Dates

Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) has released the registration and exam dates ECGC PO recruitment 2025, along with the detailed notification. The online registration process is active till 2nd December 2025 at https://www.ecgc.in/. The prelims exam will be conducted on 11th January 2026 (2 pm to 5 pm). 

ECGC PO Vacancy 2025

30 vacancies for Probationary Officer (Generalist and Specialist) posts have been released with the detailed notification PDF. ECGC PO 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must check the ECGC PO eligibility criteria before applying for the same. The candidates who apply for the ECGC PO Exam should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria required for the recruitment process.

ECGC PO Educational Qualification (as on 01/11/2025)

For Probationary Officer (Generalist)- The minimum educational qualification required to become a probationary officer is to hold a Graduation degree from a recognised university/institution. Any graduate is eligible to take the exam; no percentage criteria are mentioned.

For Probationary Officer (Specialist)- Rajbhasa/Hindi- Master's degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the bachelor's degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others. OR 
(ii) Master’s degree in English with Hindi as core/elective/major subject at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR
(iii) Master’s degree in any discipline with English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR 
(iv) Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University

ECGC PO Nationality

Any candidate who is applying for the ECGC PO exam should be either:

1. a Citizen of India or
2. a subject of Nepal or
3. a subject of Bhutan or
4. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

ECGC PO 2025 Application Fee

Steps to Apply Online for ECGC PO Recruitment 2025

Follow the steps below to start filling out your application form for ECGC PO Recruitment 2025. 

Step 1- Visit the ECGC website at https://www.ecgc.in/ and open the link “Careers with EGCC” or directly apply from the link provided above reading ECGC PO 2025 Apply Online Link.

Step 2- Choose the option “Current Openings” and then click on “Click here to apply online”.

Step 3- Choose the option for new registration and register using a valid email id & phone number.

Step 4- Complete the application form with the required details and upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.

Step 5- Now proceed with the final payment and click on the submit button.

The text for the handwritten declaration should be written by candidate itself in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS, the text is as follows –

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” 

ECGC PO 2025 Selection Process

The candidates have to appear for an online examination and interview round to get shortlisted for the ECGC PO Recruitment 2025. The candidates have to qualify for each stage to get shortlisted for the ECGC PO Vacancy 2025.

ECGC PO 2025 Exam Pattern

There will be 2 parts of the online examination- Objective Test (MCQs) and Descriptive Test (to test knowledge of English). The structure for ECGC PO Examination has been discussed below. 

ECGC PO Objective Test

1. The online examination consists of 200 multiple-choice questions for 1 mark each.
2. A negative marking of 0.25 marks (¼th mark) for each incorrect answer.
3. There will be a sectional timing for each test as discussed in the below table.

ECGC PO Descriptive Exam Pattern

The candidates have to appear in a descriptive test of 40 marks with a duration of 40 minutes.

ECGC PO 2025 Salary 

The candidates shall be selected for Probationary Officer in the cadre of Executive Officers at a pay scale of Rs. 88,635-4385(14)-150025- 4750(4)-169025. The officers are also eligible for the allowances and benefits like DA, HRA, TA, Medical Allowance, and other perks besides basic pay. The CTC for the candidates selected for the post of ECGC PO in Mumbai is Rs. 20 lakh per annum.

ECGC PO 2025 Exam Centres

ECGC PO 2025 Admit Card

ECGC PO 2025 admit card for both the written exam and interview will be released separately on the official website https://www.ecgc.in/. The admit card is released 10-15 days before its exam date. The admit card link will be added here once it has been released by the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC).
