Steps to Apply Online for ECGC PO Recruitment 2023

Step 1- Visit the ECGC website at https://www.ecgc.in/ and open the link “Careers with EGCC” or directly apply from the link provided above reading ECGC PO 2023 Apply Online Link.

Step 2- Choose the option “Current Openings” and then click on “Click here to apply online”.

Step 3- Choose the option for new registration and register using a valid email id & phone number.

Step 4- Complete the application form with the required details and upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.

Step 5- Now proceed for final payment and click on the submit button.

ECGC PO Hand-written Declaration

The text for the handwritten declaration should be written by candidate itself in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS, the text is as follows –

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.” 

ECGC PO 2023 Eligibility 

The candidates must check ECGC PO eligibility criteria before applying for the same. The candidates who apply for the ECGC PO Exam should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria required for the recruitment process.

ECGC PO Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification required to become a probationary officer must hold a Graduation degree from a recognised university/institution. Any graduate is eligible for giving the exam, no percentage criteria are mentioned.

ECGC PO Nationality

Any candidate who is applying for the ECGC PO exam should be either:

1. a Citizen of India or
2. a subject of Nepal or
3. a subject of Bhutan or
4. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

ECGC PO Age Limit

In order to apply online for the ECGC PO exam, the minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 30 years.

ECGC PO 2023 Selection Process

The candidates have to appear for an online examination and interview round to get shortlisted for ECGC PO Recruitment 2023. The candidates have to qualify each stage to get shortlisted for ECGC PO Vacancy 2023. 

Stage 1- Online Examination (Objective & Descriptive)

ECGC PO 2023 Exam Pattern

There will be 2 parts of the online examination- Objective Test (MCQs) and Descriptive Test (to test knowledge of English). The structure for ECGC PO Examination has been discussed below. 

ECGC PO Objective Test

1. The online examination consists of 200 multiple choice questions for 1 mark each.
2. There will be 5 subjects- Reasoning Ability, English, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude.
3. A negative marking of 0.25 marks (¼th mark) for each incorrect answer.
4. There will be a sectional timing for each test as discussed in the below table.

ECGC PO Descriptive Exam Pattern

The candidates have to appear in a descriptive test of 40 marks with a duration of 40 minutes. 

ECGC PO 2023 Syllabus 

ECGC PO Online Test compiled of 5 subjects- Reasoning Ability, English, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. For each subject, the topic-wise ECGC PO Syllabus 2023 has been discussed below- 

ECGC PO 2023 Salary 

The candidates shall be selected for Probationary Officer in the cadre of Executive Officers at a pay scale of 53600-2645(14)-90630- 2865(4)-102090. The officers are also eligible for the allowances and benefits like DA, HRA, TA, Medical Allowance, and other perks besides basic pay. The CTC for the candidates selected for the post of ECGC PO in Mumbai is Rs. 16 lakh per annum.
