Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 33 Assistant Engineers vacancies. Candidates will be recruited for AE posts based on their performance in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams. DSSSB AE Eligibility 2026
The candidates are required to meet the minimum qualification criteria in order to be able to apply for the post of DSSSB Assistant Engineer with the Delhi Government. Those who fail to fulfil these requirements should not fill out the form. Mentioned below are the minimum qualifications required by the candidates:
Education Qualification
- DSSSB Civil AE- Candidates must hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university or institution Original certificates will be checked by the DSSSB officials at the time of verification.
Age Limit
The candidates must not be more than 30 years of age, and a minimum age of 18 years is suitable to apply for DSSSB AE Recruitment 2026.
Age Relaxation
There is a relaxation of the upper age limit provided for different categories which have been discussed here.

The two stages of the DSSSB Assistant Engineer exam are CBT-1 & CBT-2 papers, for which the complete exam pattern has been discussed below.
DSSSB AE CBT-1 Exam Pattern
- The DSSSB AE CBT 1 is the screening phase to shortlist candidates for the CBT-2 round.
- All the questions in the DSSSB AE CBT 1 will be objective-type questions.
- There will be two sections in the DSSSB AE CBT 1, section A and section B of 100 marks each.
- Section B will have questions based on your educational qualification, i.e. Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- For each correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark, and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted.
- The questions paper shall be bilingual, i.e. in Hindi and English.

DSSSB AE CBT-2 Exam Pattern
- The DSSSB AE CBT 2 shall be of 300 marks in total with 2 parts/sections.
- Part 1 will have questions based on your educational qualification while part 2 will test your concepts of solving problems and comprehending texts.
- The DSSSB AE CBT 2 paper shall have only objective type of questions.
- There will a total of 200 questions in the Tier 2 exam.
- 0.25 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer marked by you while 1 mark will be awarded.
- The question paper shall be set in both English and Hindi language.
