WB SET Application Fees 2023

A candidate belonging to either the General category is required to pay Rs. 1200/- The same amount is reduced to Rs. 600/- for candidates belonging to OBC category and for SC/ST/PWD/Transgender candidates have to pay Rs. 300/-. The following fee shall be applicable for candidates appearing at the WB SET 2023.

WB SET Notification 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria that candidates need to meet to appear for the WB SET Notification 2023 written examination are mentioned below. Candidates can check educational qualification & age limit given below.

WB SET Educational Qualification

1. General/EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree and for other category candidates should secured 50% marks.
2. For some reserved categories (OBCs that fall into the Non-creamy layer, SC/STs, PWDs (people with disabilities), and transgenders), 5% marks are relaxed.
3. Those PhD degree holders who had completed their Master’s level examinations by 19th September 1991 will be eligible to appear in SET with a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%).

WB SET Age Limit

The WB SET Exam 2023 has no lower or upper age limit prescribed by WBCSC. Thus, there is no West Bengal SET age limit. Candidates with the minimum educational requirements can apply for this exam.

WB SET Exam Pattern 2023

Mode of Exam- Objective Type.

Maximum Marks- 300 marks.

Duration of Test- The time duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Marking Scheme- 2 mark shall be awarded to every correct answer.

Negative Marking- No negative marking.
