NICL AO Nationality
A candidate must be:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 to permanently settle in India, or

- There would be 100 MCQs for NICL AO Prelims Exam and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes (1 hour).
- A penalty of 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer is applicable.
- The objective test except on “English Language” will be bilingual (in English and Hindi).

NICL AO 2024 Mains Exam Pattern
There will be 250 MCQs for both Generalist and Specialist posts (except Hindi Officers) and a descriptive test of 30 marks. For generalist posts, there will be 5 sections namely Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. For Specialist posts, an additional test to assess technical & professional knowledge in relevant discipline will be there. The duration for mains exam is 180 minutes.

NICL AO Recruitment 2024 Salary
The initial Basic pay would be Rs. 50,925 /- in the scale of Rs.50925-2500(14)-85925-2710(4)-96765 and such other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. Other benefits such as Pension under the New Pension scheme governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 85,000/- per month in Metropolitan Centres. The selected candidates have to serve for a minimum of 4 years (including 1 year of probation) for which an undertaking will be signed at the time of joining.
