India Post GDS Result 2024 Merit List 2 Out, Download Result PDFs

The India Post has released the 2nd merit list of GDS Result 2024 for all circles (except Haryana and J&K) on the official website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. Candidates who found their name and roll number in the 2nd merit list pdf are now required to appear for Document Verification by the mentioned divisional head against their names on or before 03rd October 2024. As per GDS 2nd Merit List pdf, a total of 22416 candidates have been shortlisted for India Post GDS posts.

This year, lakhs of candidates have submitted their applications for 44228 for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak posts. So all those candidates whose names were not in the 1st merit list can now check their result status from the 2nd Merit List which has been released with the names of shortlisted candidates. India Post GDS Result 2024 2nd Merit List Out

India Post Office GDS Result 2024 has been released in PDF format with the roll number of the shortlisted candidates who are eligible for the document verification round. This is the 2nd merit list. India Post GDS Result and Merit List pdf has been released circle-wise on the official website https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. As the 2nd merit list is out, the shortlisted candidates are now required to undergo a physical verification process and submit an undertaking regarding the authenticity of their application details​ for which information shall be shared shortly.

To check your GDS Result 2024, you need an active internet connection as the merit list has been uploaded online in pdf format. Follow the steps mentioned below to check GDS Result & Merit List 2024 from the official website-

1. Open the official website of India Post GDS Online at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ on your internet browser.
2. On the left side of the homepage search for Candidate’s Corner.
3. Now under, the candidate’s corner, search for “GDS Online Engagement Schedule, July-2024 Shortlisted Candidates”.
4. The list of circles for which GDS Result 2024 has been uploaded appears.
5. Click on the circle you have applied for.
6. Download the 1st Merit List PDF for your respective circle.
7. Search for your roll number with the Ctrl+F shortcut in the list of shortlisted candidates.

GDS Result 2024 Selection Process

The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement based on a system-generated merit list. The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks (as explained in sub paras- iii to ix below) in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. Passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.

For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet have marks or marks and Grade/Points both, only their total marks will be worked out by taking into account the marks obtained in all compulsory and elective/optional subjects (other than extra subjects, if any). This will ensure that applicants with higher marks get selected.

For applicants having only grades subject-wise, marks will be arrived for each subject (compulsory and elective subjects but not extra subjects by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner.
