Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the CDS Result 2026 on 19 October 2026 on the official website https://www.upsc.gov.in/. Candidates who appeared in the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (II) 2026 can check their qualifying status through the result link avaiable at the UPSC official website. The result PDF includes the roll numbers of candidates qualified in the written exam and shortlited for the interview. 

CDS 2 Result 2026 Out

Through the CDS 2 2026 exam, 451 vacancies are to be recruited for the Indian Air Force, Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officers’ Training Academy. The result has been released for the candidates who have appeared in the written exam for 451 vacancies to select eligible candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force, Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Officers’ Training Academy. All those candidates who are shortlisted are required to submit copies of their essential documents to the Commission.

How to Check UPSC CDS Result 2026?

1. Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), i.e., www.upsc.gov.in.
2. Under the What's New section, click on the link that reads "Written Examination Result - Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2026".
3. CDS 2 Result 2026 PDF appears on the screen. Download the CDS Result PDF.
4. Search for your name and roll no. by pressing Ctrl+F and typing your name or roll no.
5. If your name appears on the screen, you have qualified for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II) 2026.
6. Save the UPSC CDS 2 Result 2026 for future reference.

What After CDS 2 Result 2026?

After the release of the results, candidates can search for their roll number in the list of qualified candidates, and candidates whose roll number appears in the result PDF are declared qualified in the written examination. Qualified candidates then must prepare for the SSB interview. 

• SSB interview: Shortlisted candidates must attend the Services Selection Board assessment according to the call-up instructions.
• Document verification: Candidates must submit the required documents, including proof of date of birth and educational qualifications, to the designated authority within the prescribed deadline.
• Medical examination: Candidates are assessed for medical fitness as per the applicable service requirements.
• Final merit list: Final selection depends on the applicable merit criteria, vacancies, eligibility and medical fitness.

CDS exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for admission to the under-mentioned courses.

• Indian Military Academy, Dehradun –163rd (DE) Course commencing in July 2027.
• Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala - Course commencing in July, 2027, Executive Branch (General Service)/Hydro
• Air Force Academy, Hyderabad - (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in July 2027 i.e. 222 F(P) Course
• Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 126th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in October, 2027
• Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 126th SSC Women (NT) (UPSC) Course commencing in October, 2027
   

CDS Marksheet 2026

The CDS Marksheet includes the candidate’s roll number, name, date of birth, total marks obtained in the written exam and SSB Interview, and final total marks. The marks obtained by candidates in the Combined Defence Services (CDS-2) Exam 2026 will be released on the official website of UPSC within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result of OTA (after conducting the SSB Interview) and will remain available for 30 days.
