APPSC Group 3 Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates who wish to appear for the APPSC Group 3 examination must fulfill the eligibility criteria as specified by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). The eligibility criteria mainly include age limit and educational qualification, which are explained below.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for APPSC Group 3 posts must possess a Graduation degree from any recognized university approved by the Central or State Government. In addition to the educational qualification, candidates should be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the Telugu language.

Age Limit

To be eligible for the APPSC Group 3 exam, a candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and should not be more than 42 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories are provided age relaxation as per government norms.

APPSC Group 3 Selection Process 2026

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducts the Group 3 selection process in multiple stages to select eligible candidates for various Group 3 posts. The selection process mainly consists of the following stages:

  1. Prelims Exam: The Prelims Exam is the first stage of the APPSC Group 3 selection process. It is qualifying in nature, and the marks obtained in this stage are not counted in the final merit list. Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam are shortlisted for the Mains Examination.
  2. Mains Examination: The Mains Exam is the final and most important stage of the selection process. It carries a total of 300 marks. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks scored in the Mains Examination.

APPSC Group 3 Exam Pattern 2026

The APPSC Group 3 examination is conducted in two stages: a Prelims Exam and a Mains Examination. Candidates who qualify in the prelims will be shortlisted for the mains exam. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not counted in the final merit list.
