Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) conducts the UPSSSC PET Exam for the recruitment of Group B and C posts. Candidates who are planning to appear for the exam should first understand the syllabus and exam pattern for the exam to begin their preparation. The syllabus provides a list of the subject-wise topics from which questions will be asked in the exam, as well as the exam pattern provide an overview of the exam structure, i.e., section-wise marks distribution, marking scheme, and more.

 The UP PET Exam will be conducted as an eligibility test for the recruitment of Group B and C posts. Candidates preparing for the exam should know that it is a state-level examination mandatory to appear for the Mains exam for various Group C posts in Uttar Pradesh (UP).

UPSSSC PET Exam Pattern 2026

UPSSSC PET Exam 2026 consists of 100 questions for 100 marks, and the time duration for the exam is 2 hours. For each wrong answer, ¼ mark will be deducted.

  • The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions
  • A total of 100 such questions will be asked
  • The duration of the exam shall be 2 hours
  • Each each wrong answers will result in a negative marking of 1/4th mark
  • The difficulty of questions for topics from sr. no. 1 to 9 shall be as per NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary level
