NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is conducted every year for admission to Undergraduate medical courses. This year again NEET (UG) 2021 is going to be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS Courses as per the relevant norms / guidelines / regulations notified by the concerned Regulatory Bodies.

The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central/State Governments (including Indian Nursing Council/ Nursing Colleges/ Schools, JIPMER) for counselling / admission to relevant courses [including B.Sc. (Nursing) and B.Sc. (Life Sciences)] in accordance with their rules / norms / guidelines.

NEET (UG) 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through Pen & Paper mode on 01 August, 2021 (Sunday). NEET Exam is conducted once every year.

NEET 2021 Tentative Schedule

NEET 2021 exam was earlier scheduled to take place in June but due to Covid – 19 pandemic it has been rescheduled to take place on August 1, 2021. There were slight changes in other dates as well. We have mentioned some of the tentative dates that will be beneficial for the exam preparation. They are as follows:

Candidates willing to appear in NEET 2021 may remit the examination fees after filling the Online Examination Form through any of the following modes of payment:

  1. Debit card (By filling the card details and CVV no. at the time of making payment)

  2. Credit Card (Additional charges may be applicable)

  3. Net-banking

  4. UPI Mode of Payment and Service Provider

*EWS candidates have to present the EWS certificates at the time of verification. Otherwise, their candidature may lead to cancellation.

Processing charges & Goods and Services Tax (GST) are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable.

If candidate fails to submit the fee, the final submission of Online Application will remain incomplete and unsuccessful. And only after generation of Confirmation Page final submission of Application Form is complete. If Confirmation Page has not been generated, this means that Application Form has not been submitted successfully.

Documents required while filling the Online Application Form for NEET 2021

All the documents mandatory for filling the Online Application Form must to be scanned images necessarily in JPG/JPEG format, for uploading as part of submission of his/her online application. Candidates must have the following documents scanned in the prescribed size and format in advance, to avoid any errors and omission:

  1. Latest Passport size Photograph with white background (size: 10 kb to 200 kb)

  2. Post Card size photograph with white background (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb - 300 kb)

  3. Signature (size: 4 kb to 30 kb)

  4. Left hand thumb impression (In case of any eventuality of left-hand thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.) - file size: 10 kb to 50 kb)

  5. Class X Passing Certificate (file size: 100 kb to 400 kb)

In case the candidate makes an error, the correction window will be opened for making changes in Particulars of Application Form on official website only andfor a limited period of time.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in NEET 2021

Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as follows: -

Important information for the candidates

  1. Candidates can apply for NEET (UG)-2021 through “Online” mode only.

  2. Submission of Online Application Form may be done by accessing NTA website ntaneet.nic.in. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

  3. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

  4. Candidates must ensure that e-mail Address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or parents only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on registered Mobile Number only.

Steps to fill the Online Application Form for NEET 2021:

In case a candidate is found to fill in more than one application, the admit card will be cancelled/withheld and his/her candidature will be forfeited for this/future examination.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using your or parents unique Email Id and Mobile No.

Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.

Step-3: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s latest Passport size Photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb), Post Card size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb - 300 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb), Left hand thumb impression (file size: 10 kb-50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.), Class X Passing Certificate (file size: 100 kb to 400 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.

For photograph, the focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background).

Step-4: Pay fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid safely for future reference. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

After filling the forms, you need toDownload, save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.

Note:

  1. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.

  2. The entire application process of NEET (UG)-2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ by Hand/E-mail.

Important Note:

  1. Each question carries 04 (four) marks.

  2. For each correct answer/best option, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.

  3. For each incorrect answer, 01(one) mark will be deducted from the total score.

  4. To answer a question, the candidate has to find, for each question, the correct answer/ best option.

  5. However, after the process of challenge of key, if more than one option is found to be correct then all/any one of the multiple correct/best options marked will be given four marks (+4).

  6. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1). Unanswered/Unattempt questions will be given no marks. In case, a question is dropped/ ignored, all candidates will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

NEET 2021- Admit Card

Once the examination forms are duly filled and submitted the students can download their Admit Cardson the NTA website on the scheduled date. As mentioned above the NEET 2021 Admit Cards might be available from the 2nd week of July.The admit card of NEET 2021 will be available in online mode only.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NTA website and also check their e-mails/SMS for latest Updates regarding the release of.

Candidate shall appear at their own cost at the Examination Centre on Date and Timing indicated on their Admit Card issued by the NTA.

Any request to change the Examination Centre, Date and Time provided on the Admit Card shall not be considered under any circumstances.

Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 Post Card size (4”X6”) coloured photographs with white background.

The photographs are to be used for uploading on Online Application Form, for examination and also for Counselling/Admission.

 

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to download the Admit Card:

  1. Go to the official website of NTA NEET or click on NEET admit card 2021.

  2. Enter application number, date of birth and the security pin.

  3. Click on “Submit”.

  4. Admit card of NEET will appear on the screen.

  5. Check the details mentioned on the admit card.

  6. Download the NEET 2021 admit card.

NEET 2021 Exam: FAQs

Q1: When will the NEET 2021 exam be held?

Ans: NEET 2021 will be conducted on August 1, 2021.

Q2: What is the mode of the NEET 2021 exam?

Ans: NEET exam is based on a pen-paper test, which is conducted in the offline mode. Candidates have to mark their responses in the OMR sheets.

Q3: Are there any limits to attempt the NEET exam?

Ans: Previously, the maximum limits to take the NEET exam were three. But as per the latest update, the maximum limits were scrapped from the exam.
