The Savitribai Phule Pune University, the State Agency, will conduct the 41st Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) to determine the eligibility of candidates for assistant professors in universities and colleges across Maharashtra state. To begin preparation for the MH SET Exam 2026, candidates should be aware of the MH SET Syllabus to know about the topics to be covered in the exam. The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of only objective-type questions. Paper 1 will consist of a test of reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. Paper 2 shall consist of one hundred (100) objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate.

MH SET Exam Pattern 2026

To begin preparation for the MH SET Exam 2026, candidates should be aware of the MH SET Exam Pattern to know about the mode of exam, types of questions, topics to be covered, marking scheme, and other details.

• The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of only objective-type questions.
• Paper 1 will consist of a test of reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness of the candidate. In Paper 1, each question will carry 02 marks.
• Paper 2 shall consist of one hundred (100) objective-type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry two marks.
• There is no negative marking in the MH SET exam.
