LIC Assistant Engineer Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released a total of 81 vacancies for the post of Assistant Engineer. Candidates who will be applying for the post have to appear for a prelims and a mains exam, for which candidates need to go through the LIC Assistant Engineer Syllabus 2025 to know all the subject-wise topics they have to cover while preparing for the LIC AE Exam 2025. LIC AE Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

The candidates who will be applying for the post of Assistant Engineer post have to go through a selection process that includes a prelims, a mains exam, and an interview. Candidates who will qualify in the prelims exam will only be eligible to appear for the mains exam. The marks obtained in the prelims exam will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for the interview.

For the selection for LIC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2025, candidates have to go through a prelims and a mains exam. The LIC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern 2025 for both exams will be different. LIC Assistant Engineer Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

• Preliminary Examination consisting of an objective test will be conducted online. 
• The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section). 
• There will be a negative marking, i.e., for every wrong answer, 1/4th of the mark assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at the correct score. 
• If a question is left blank, i.e., no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. 
• There will be a total of 100 questions. 
• The exam is worth 70 marks, as the English Language section is qualifying and its marks are not included in the ranking. 

LIC Assistant Engineer Mains Exam Pattern 2025

• There will be no negative Marking in the Main Examination. 
• The main examination will consist of objective tests of 150 marks and a descriptive test of 150 marks. 
• Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online. 
• The Examination will be in one sitting, and the total duration of the Examination will be two hours and thirty minutes. 
• The objective test will have separate timing for every section.
