To be eligible for the Tier 3 Interview stage, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Tier 2 Exam.

What After IB ACIO Tier 2 Result 2026?

Candidates who are declared qualified in the Tier 2 examination by scoring a minimum 33% marks (17 out of 50) in the Tier-II exam will be shortlisted to appear for the next stage of the selection process i.e., Tier-III/Interview. IB ACIO 2026 Selection Process 

The IB ACIO selection process is a comprehensive multi-stage procedure to recruit eligible candidates efficiently for approximately 3,717 Grade II/Executive vacancies. 

1. Tier 1: Objective Written Examination- The first stage is a 100-mark, 1-hour objective exam assessing General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/Analytical Ability, and English Language skills. The Tier 1 result acts as a screening tool, shortlisting candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) to qualify for Tier 2.
2. Tier 2: Descriptive Test- Candidates clearing Tier 1 move to Tier 2, a 50-mark descriptive exam that tests writing skills through essays, comprehension, and précis/report writing.
3. Interview - This stage involves an interview/personality assessment that examines a candidate's mental alertness, communication skills, decision-making ability, and suitability for intelligence work.
4. Final Merit List - The final merit list is prepared by combining scores from Tier 1, Tier 2, and the interview.
