The IB ACIO  Interview Examination was conducted from 9th March to 1st  April 2026 for the post of ACIO-II/Tech. Based on combined performance in the GATE exam (best score of any of the years 2023, 2024, or 2025) and Skill test/interviews, the IB ACIO final merit list has been prepared by the official and uploaded at the official website www.mha.gov.in. 

Through the exam, a total of 258 vacacies will be recruited for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/ Tech posts in disciplines of Computer Science & Information Technology and Electronics & Communication. The selection process is based on candidates' performance in the Basis of the GATE Score and Interview.

IB ACIO 2026 Selection Process 

The IB ACIO selection process is a comprehensive multi-stage procedure to recruit eligible candidates efficiently for Grade II/Tech vacancies. 

1. Gate Score-  Candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) shortlisted based on the GATE scorecard will appear directly for the Skill Test and Interview in Delhi. Candidates have the option to provide their best GATE score from among GATE 2023, 2024, or 2025.
2. Interview - This stage involves an interview/personality assessment that examines a candidate's mental alertness, communication skills, decision-making ability, and suitability for intelligence work.
3. Final Merit List - The final merit list is prepared by combining scores in the Gate score and the interview.
