Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2021) is a national level entrance examination and conducted once in a year. It is conducted jointly by Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and one of the IITs all over the country. These are organised by these institutes on the behalf of Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India. The GATE 2021 exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). The total no. of 65 questions will asked in the GATE online exam for 100 marks. The total time is allotted for this exam is 3 hours. Candidates can check the exam pattern of the Gate exam below.

Marking Scheme: For MCQs, there will be negative marking of 1/3 marks of the value of the questions. FOR NTA there will be no negative marking in the exam.
There are two types of Cut-Off, one is the Qualifying Cut Off and the other is Admission Cut Off which are explained below
GATE Qualifying Cut Off: These are the minimum marks that candidate should score to qualify for the exam. There is subject cut off also. GATE qualifying cut off will be released by the conducting body.
GATE Admission Cut Off: This Cut Off is released by the individual institutes and depend on the number of seats, number of applicants, category of applicants, etc.

➤ Registration: Candidates have to register themselves through GATE Online Application Processing System or GOAPs by entering their name, email id, and mobile number after which an enrollment id will be generated. Candidates have to change the password for the future login purpose.
➤ Application Form: After completing registration, a application form will appear in which the candidates have to provide personal, academic, and qualification details. candidates will have to choose the preferred exam centers which are given above while filling the online application form.
➤ Uploading Images: Once the candidate has filled the application form, they have to upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and category certificate (if applicable) as per the specifications of exam authority.

➤ Fee Payment: Candidates have to pay the application fee which is given above through net banking/ debit card/ credit card.
➤ Final Submission: After completing all the steps mentioned above, candidates have to submit the application form.
The conducting organization release the GATE Admit Card around two weeks before the exam dates. As, the exam usually held in February, the admit card tentatively will be released in the month of January 2022.
The GATE 2021 results is expected to be released after the one month of the exam i.e., March 2022. Candidates can check their result along with the score card after the release of the result by the conducting body. These scores will be used by different institutes and PSU for the admission and recruitment process.
