GATE 2021 Registration Last Date Extended till 7th Oct

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2021) is a national level entrance examination and conducted once in a year. It is conducted jointly by Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and one of the IITs all over the country. This year is IIT Bombay is conducting GATE 2021. The exam is organised by the institutes on the behalf of Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India. The exam score is used by different Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture Government institutes to select students for master programs and Doctoral programs. The score of GATE exam is also used by different PSU to decide Cut Off for the interview process. This year two new subjects are included for the exam. The new subjects are ES (Environmental Science and Engineering) and XH (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Economics / English / Linguistics / Philosophy / Psychology / Sociology. Now the GATE is conducted for 27 Subjects.

GATE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before starting the application process, the candidate must ensure that he/ she meets the eligibility criteria of GATE 2021, which are enumerated below:

GATE Cut-off

There are two types of Cut-Off, one is the Qualifying Cut Off and the other is Admission Cut Off which are explained below

GATE Qualifying Cut Off: These are the minimum marks that candidate should score to qualify for the exam. There is subject cut off also. GATE qualifying cut off will be released by the conducting body.

GATE Admission Cut Off: This Cut Off is released by the individual institutes and depend on the number of seats, number of applicants, category of applicants, etc.

GATE 2021 Admit Card

The conducting organization release the GATE Admit Card around two weeks before the exam dates. As, the exam usually held in February, the admit card tentatively will be released in the month of January 2022.

GATE Result 2021

The GATE 2021 results is expected to be released after the one month of the exam i.e., March 2022. Candidates can check their result along with the score card after the release of the result by the conducting body. These scores will be used by different institutes and PSU for the admission and recruitment process.
