FCI 2017 Exam

FCI or Food Corporation of India will be conducting FCI Recruitment 2017 to select eligible candidates for various posts. FCI invites application for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil), Assistant Grade II, Assistant Grade III and Typist at its various offices set up all across the country.

Food Corporation of India is one of the largest Public Sector Undertaking that deals with food grain and supply chain management. Established on 14th January 1965 with its first district office in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, Food Corporation of India has been managing various depots and private equity godowns all across the country.

FCI Recruitment 2017

The FCI recruitment 2017 has started. Applications are currently invited for the post of Watchman in Tamil Nadu. The application process for the same started on 15th June 2017 and the last date to fill the application process is 15th July 2017. The total number of vacancies for the same is: SC (13 posts), ST (01 post), OBC (34 posts), UR (79 posts), PWD (04 posts), Ex. Servicemen (34 posts).

FCI recruitment 2017 process for the post of Assistant Grade II, Grade III, Grade IV etc. will be released shortly. Candidates will be notified for the same once the notification has been released for FCI 2017 Exam.

FCI Punjab Recruitment 2017 has started to select candidates for the post of watchmen in state of Punjab. The application process has started and will end on 20th September 2017.

Total 860 posts are to be filled through FCI Punjab Recruitment

FCI Application Fee

A candidate is required to pay Rs. 350/- as their application fee. If you pay the fee through E-Challan, you are required to pay Rs. 410. The online application is to start tentatively at the start of August 2017. Candidates are required to visit this page regularly to remain updated about the upcoming notification of FCI 2017.

Paper-I (Duration-90 Minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions are asked from General Aptitude constituting of Reasoning, Data Analysis, English Language, Computer Proficiency, General Awareness, General Intelligence, Current Events, Numerical Ability, Data Interpretation to candidates applying for the Post Code A {Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering)}, B {Junior Engineer (Electrical Engineering)}, C {Junior Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)}, F {AG- III (General)}, G {AG-III (Accounts)}, H{AG - III (Technical)} & I { AG-III (Depot)}.

Paper-II (Duration-90 minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions on Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will be asked to candidates applying for the Post Code A {Junior Engineer (Civil Engineering)}, Post Code B {Junior Engineer (Electrical Engineering)}, Post Code C {Junior Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)} to assess the post specific technical knowledge of relevant stream.

120 Multiple Choice Questions on Commerce particularly from the field of General Accounting and Finance will be asked to the candidates applying for the Post Code G {Assistant Grade-III (Accounts)} to assess the post specific technical knowledge of relevant stream.

120 Multiple Choice Questions on Biological Sciences will be asked to candidates applying for the Post Code H {Assistant Grade-III (Technical)} to assess the post specific technical knowledge of relevant stream.

Paper-III (Duration-90 minutes):

120 Multiple Choice Questions on General Hindi, General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Computer Knowledge will be asked to candidates applying for the Post Code D {Assistant Grade-II (Hindi)} and Post Code E {Typist (Hindi)}.

Paper-IV (Duration-90 minutes):

2 Passages, one each from Hindi to English and vice-versa and two essays each in Hindi & English will be asked to candidates applying for the Post Code D {Assistant Grade-II (Hindi)}.

Candidates applying for the Post of Typist (Hindi) are required to take only Paper - III as Written Test. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their performance in Paper-III and the short-listed candidates will undergo a Skill-Test in typing in Hindi which will decide further shot listing of candidates for skill/typing test. Candidates will be intimidated about the same through website(www.fcijobsportal.com). Final merit list will be generated on the score obtained by candidate in Skill Test.

The number of candidates to be called for the Skill Test will be 10 times (subject to availability) to the number of vacancies available for Typist (Hindi) posts. In-case the requisite number of Candidates are not available to fill up the vacancies, then at the discretion of Competent Authority, an additional list for the Skill-Test may be drawn based on the merit of Paper-III.

Candidates applying for AG-II (Hindi) posts will be shortlisted for evaluation of Paper-IV, based on their marks in Paper – III.

There will be a minimum qualifying mark for Paper-IV. Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks will be considered for final selection. Final selection will be made on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper – III and Paper - IV, subject to securing the minimum qualifying marks in paper IV. Paper IV will be evaluated for candidates in the Merit list.

Note: - The Question Papers for Written Test will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi
