As per the DSSSB Exam Calendar 2026, the DSSSB PGT Exam Date for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) under the Directorate of Education has been announced from 26th to 31st March 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts from 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm. How to Apply for DSSSB PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026?

Aspirants can follow the steps given below to apply online for DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2026.

Step 1: Registration

  1. Go to the official website of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) at i.e. delhi.gov.in or the link provided below on this page.
  2. On the homepage "Click for New Registration"
  3. Candidates have to complete the Online Registration Form through the DSSSB OARS portal by providing their basic details like their date of birth, Class 10 details, name, mobile number, and email ID and they will also have to choose a password.
  4. Candidates will receive a One Time Password on their registered Mobile No and Email ID.
  5. Carefully verify these details and click on ‘Proceed’.

Step 2: Filling of DSSSB Teacher Recruitment 2026 Application Form

  1. Students must log in using their DOB, Class 10 hall ticket number and password to fill the application form.
  2. They will have to enter their personal, communication, educational and work experience details.
  3. Next, candidates need to upload the required scanned documents like their photograph and signature as prescribed in jpeg/jpg format. The size of the documents should be less than 15 kb and should not exceed 60 kb.
  4. After filling all the necessary fields carefully, applicants can see the preview of their application form. They should go through all the details and click on ‘Final Submission’

Step 3: Fee Payment

  1. The next step is to pay the application fee.
  2. Fees can be rendered through online mode.
  3. Applicants can check the status of their payment by logging into their user accounts clicking on the ‘Payment’ tab.
  4. Print out the copy of the e-receipt of the transaction as proof of payment.
  5. After completing all the steps, take 2 printouts of the confirmation page of the application form for reference.

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2026 Application Fees

The candidates, while submitting the DSSSB PGT application forms, should pay the requisite fees through SBI e-pay. The fee will be paid online payment gateway; fees through any other mode will not be considered. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, PwBD & Ex-serviceman categories are exempted from paying the Application fee.

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria, which include mainly the educational qualification and age limit is given below:

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned from any recognized University. The candidate should hold a Degree / Diploma in training /Education.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized University; OR B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. (OR) 3 years integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed. from any NCTE-recognized institution.

Age Limit

The candidate should not exceed the age limit of 36 years to apply for the DSSSB PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026. 

Age relaxation will be applicable for the reserved categories as follows:

DSSSB PGT Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

  1. The selection for DSSSB PGT Recruitment shall be made through One Tier and Two Tier examination schemes and Skill Test wherever applicable.
  2. Negative Marking will be applicable and a deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong MCQ answer.
  3. The Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.
  4. There is no provision of re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts in respect of the examinations conducted by DSSSB.
  5. In Two Tier examinations, the Tier I exam is to be used for shortlisting only. Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtains in the Tier II Examination.

Candidates are to score a minimum Qualifying Percentage in the DSSSB PGT exam to be considered to qualify for the exam. Check category-wise Qualifying % from here.
