CG TET is a state-level exam conducted every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in primary (Class 1 to 5) and upper primary (Class 6 to 8) levels across government and private schools in the state. Steps to Apply for CG TET 2026
All aspiring candidates who want to register themselves online for the examination of CG TET must go through the following steps to easily submit the CG TET 2026 Application Form.
- The candidates have to check the official web portal of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) at https://vyapam.cgstate.gov.in

Age Limit
Candidates above the age of 18 years can apply for the CG TET Exam 2026. Apart from that, there are no other CG TET Age Limit Criteria. Thus, teaching aspirants can apply for the CG TET Exam at any age above 18 years.
CG TET Exam Pattern 2026
The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) conducts the written offline examination for the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET). There are no marks deducted for giving wrong answers to questions attempted. The paper will be in conventional mode (Pen and Paper). A total of 150 questions will be asked in both languages, Hindi and English. All questions will be asked in the format of multiple-choice questions. The CG TET is a State-level Exam in Chhattisgarh that will be conducted in two shifts. The candidates should go through the following table to note down the exam pattern of CG TET as follows:
- There will be two papers, namely Paper-1 for eligibility to teach in Primary Level 1st to 5th, and Paper-2 for eligibility to teach in Upper Primary Level 6th to 8th

- 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked for 150 marks

CG TET 2026 Passing Marks
The minimal cut-off marks for the CG TET Exam will be different for different categories.
