CG TET Exam 2026-Highlights
CG TET is a state-level exam conducted every year to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in primary (Class 1 to 5) and upper primary (Class 6 to 8) levels across government and private schools in the state. In the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2025, 150 Objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked for 150 marks, and questions will be asked in both Hindi and English.

As per the CG TET Notification 2026, the exam date for Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 has been announced for 1st February 2026. The exam will be conducted for all those candidates who successfully register for the CGTET exam. Steps to Apply for CG TET 2026
All aspiring candidates who want to register themselves online for the examination of CG TET must go through the following steps to easily submit the CG TET 2026 Application Form.
- The candidates have to check the official web portal of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) at https://vyapam.cgstate.gov.in
- The candidates need to press the Application Form link of CG TET
- Now, candidates register themselves on the portal section of the CG TET
- All the necessary information or documents are to be filled in to complete the online registration procedure
- When candidates have reviewed the details inserted in the respective boxes then press the Submit tab
- Now, the online registration procedure is complete, and the Application Form for CG TET will be displayed on the screen
- The candidates need to submit their personal details carefully, along with their educational qualifications
- Press the Submit button after checking the filled information
- Candidates need to have the necessary documents to upload to the required section
- Now, Candidates will be directed to the Payment window on the screen
- The candidates need to select the payment option
- When the payment is processed successfully then the submitted Application Form will display on the screen
- Finally, candidates have to download their CG TET application form for further reference

CG TET Eligibility Criteria 2026
The candidates have to examine the Eligibility Criteria for CG TET 2026 carefully so that they can know whether they are eligible or not. Age Limit
Candidates above the age of 18 years can apply for the CG TET Exam 2026. Apart from that, there are no other CG TET Age Limit Criteria. Thus, teaching aspirants can apply for the CG TET Exam at any age above 18 years.
CG TET Exam Pattern 2026
The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) conducts the written offline examination for the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET). There are no marks deducted for giving wrong answers to questions attempted. The paper will be in conventional mode (Pen and Paper). A total of 150 questions will be asked in both languages, Hindi and English. All questions will be asked in the format of multiple-choice questions. The CG TET is a State-level Exam in Chhattisgarh that will be conducted in two shifts. The candidates should go through the following table to note down the exam pattern of CG TET as follows:
- There will be two papers, namely Paper-1 for eligibility to teach in Primary Level 1st to 5th, and Paper-2 for eligibility to teach in Upper Primary Level 6th to 8th
- The CG TET 2026 exam will be conducted in offline mode
- 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions will be asked for 150 marks
- The time duration of the exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes

CG TET 2026 Passing Marks
The minimal cut-off marks for the CG TET Exam will be different for different categories. A table is given below to describe the passing cut-off marks for the reserved and unreserved category candidates.
