RPSC Grade 1 Special Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Overview

RPSC Grade 1 Special Teacher Vacancy 2026

Rajasthan Public Service Commission has announced a total of 121 Lecturer (Special Education) vacancies. The category-wise and horizontal reservation breakup is as follows:

RPSC 1st Grade Teacher Application Form 2026

Eligible candidates can apply online through the RPSC official website or the SSO Rajasthan portal. The online application window is open from 1st June 2026 to 30th June 2026.

RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Application Fee 2026

Candidates must pay the required application fee (Ekabari Panjeeyan Shulk) as per their category. The fee is non-refundable and to be paid online through the SSO portal at the time of filling the application form. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories of other states will be treated as the General category and must pay Rs. 600/-.

Steps to Apply for RPSC 1st Grade Teacher Recruitment 2026

The candidates must check their eligibility criteria for the post they are applying for before filling out the RPSC 1st Grade Recruitment application form.

1. Visit the official RPSC website at https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and click on the Apply Online link for Advertisement No. 01/Exam/Lect.-Special Edu./RPSC/EP-I/2026-27.
2. Alternatively, go to https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in using your SSO ID and password.
3. If you are a new user, complete the One Time Registration (OTR) by providing your Aadhaar/Jan Aadhaar Card details, name, father's name, date of birth, gender, and photo.
4. After OTR, log in to the SSO portal and navigate to Citizen Apps (G2C) → Recruitment Portal.
5. Select the RPSC 1st Grade Lecturer (Special Education) Recruitment 2026 and fill in the online application form with all required personal, educational, and other details.
6. Upload scanned copies of your recent photograph and signature (taken live at the time of application, if possible) and other required documents in the prescribed format.
7. Review all entered details carefully. Ensure all educational qualifications, age, and other information are correctly entered and supported by documents.
8. Proceed to make the online payment of the application fee as per your category.
9. Submit the application form. Note your Application Number (Application No.) — if you do not receive an Application No., your form has not been submitted successfully.
10. Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.

RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2026

The candidates should fulfil the required eligibility criteria as mentioned in the notification, and the same has been tabulated below- 

Nationality

Candidates must be citizens of India. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is required. 

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2027)

• Minimum Age- 21 years
• Maximum Age- 40 years

RPSC Grade 1 Education Qualification

(i) Post Graduate or equivalent examination recognized by UGC in one of the following subjects:

1. English
2. Hindi
3. History
4. Political Science
5. Sociology
6. Music

AND

(ii) B.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed. with two years' Diploma in Special Education recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Special Condition: Applicants must be permanently or provisionally registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) before the date of the recruitment exam and must provide their permanent registration number at the time of appointment.

RPSC 1st Grade Special Teacher Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates will be done through a Competitive Written Examination consisting of two papers. The candidates shortlisted on the basis of merit in the written examination will be recommended to the State Government / appointing authority as per the merit list in accordance with Service Rules.

RPSC 1st Grade Lecturer Exam Pattern 

• All questions in both papers will be Multiple Choice Type (Objective Type).
• There will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
• Each question will have 5 options marked as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 — candidates must darken only one circle using a Blue Ball Point Pen.
• If a candidate does not attempt a question, they must darken circle '5'. If none of the five circles is darkened, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
• A candidate who has not darkened any of the five circles in more than 10% questions shall be disqualified.
