OSAP IRB Constable Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must be unmarried male/female and should be:

Educational Qualification

The selection process for  Sepoys/ Constables in OSAP IRB is based on candidates’ performance in Written Examinations, Physical Tests, Driving Tests, and Medical Examinations. The final selection list will be prepared in decreasing order of aggregate marks secured by them in written examinations, driving tests, and NCC equal to the number of vacancies advertised. 02 bonus marks will be awarded to the candidates for possessing one or more NCC certificates like: ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’. These marks shall be awarded after due verification of original certificates.

• OMR-Based Written Examination – 100 marks
• Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test – Qualifying
• Driving Test (Optional (a) For heavy motor vehicles – 05 marks
  (b) For light vehicles- 03 marks
• Medical Examination

Odisha Police Constable Exam Pattern 2024

• The Odisha Police written test will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Recruitment
  Examination (CBRE).
• The questions asked topics from Odia language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Situational Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
• The exam consists of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks.
• The time duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
• Each correct answer will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• The medium of written examination shall be in English and Odia, except the questions in Odia language.
• The standard of the questions papaer is High School Certificate Examination (10th Class).

The minimum percentage of marks for qualifying in the written exam will be as under:

• UR and SEBC – 35 marks out of 100
• SC/ST/OBC – 33 marks out of 100

OSAP IRB Constable Physical Standards Test

Based on the candidates’ performance in the OMR Written Examination, a total of five times the category-wise vacancies for each District/Establishment will be called to appear for the Physical Standards Measurement in order of merit. Only those who qualify in the Physical Standards Measurement will be allowed to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test.
