• The preliminary examination will be an OMR-based MCQ-type written examination.
• The Kolkata Police SI examination consists of 100 questions for 200 marks.

• The time duration for the examination is 90 minutes.
• The language of the question paper will be English and Bengali.

The candidates who qualified for the Kolkata Police SI Preliminary examination will be screened for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) i.e. Height, Chest, and Weight measurements.
