This year, the Postal Department is recruiting candidates for 28,636 positions. There is no exam for GDS recruitment 2026. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in class 10th. If your name appears in the India Post GDS 1st Merit List 2026, here is what you need to do next:

  1. Download and save the state-wise merit list PDF immediately.
  2. Note your DV date and venue from the PDF against your registration number.
  3. Arrange all original documents mentioned in the DV checklist well in advance.
  4. Get self-attested photocopies of all required documents (two sets each).
