Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) will soon start the applicaition process for graduate candidates who are willing to appear for APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2026. APSC Vacancy 2026

Last year, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) had announced 262 vacant posts for Assam Civil Service (Jr. Grade), Block Development Officer (BDO), Assam Finance Service (Junior Grade II), Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise, Assistant Employment Officer, and various other posts. For this year, the number of vacancies will be announced with official notification. 

APSC Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants should thoroughly check the eligibility requirements to ensure they are eligible to apply for the APSC CCE Exam 2026 which include age limits, nationality, and education qualification. APSC CCE has certain criteria for the candidates such as, they must have nationality of India, graduation degree holders, and being between the ages of 21 to 38 years.  Age relaxation is as per government norms for SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 5 years is given, OBC/MOBC candidates are allowed a 3-year relaxation, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are granted a relaxation of 10 years.

APSC Application Form 2026

Candidates will apply for the Combined Competitive Examination by visiting the official website, https://apscrecruitment.in. The registration process will start after release of official notification. We will share the direct link once it is officially released by the commission.

APSC Application Fee 2026

The application fee for various categories is as follows: For General/EWS candidates, the fee is Rs. 297.20. SC/ST candidates are required to pay Rs. 197.20. For other categories the fee is tabulated below.

Steps to Apply for the APSC Exam 2026

Candidates who want to apply for the APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2026 must follow these steps-

1. Visit the recruitment website of the Assam Public Service Commission at https://apscrecruitment.in.
2. On the home page. click on the link “Online Recruitment Portal”
3. After clicking, scroll down the page and click on the Register Tab to start the registration process
4. Enter your personal details, name, mobile, email, and other required details.
5. After filling out these details, click to generate a One-time Password (OTP).
6. Enter the OTP and complete the registration process.
7. When your registration is completed, you can log in to the portal using your email and password.
8. Now fill in all the details such as, educational. personal and upload the required documents.
9. Pay the application fees and save your application for future use.

APSC Selection Process 2026

APSC will conduct three stages of examinations to select candidates for various posts to be released this year.

1. Preliminary exam
2. Mains Exam
3. Interview

Assam APSC Exam Pattern 2026

The APSC Exam pattern for both Prelims and Mains is as follows.

Assam APSC Prelims Exam Pattern

1. The prelims exam is an objective-type exam consisting of two papers; General Studies-I and General Studies-II
2. The duration of each paper is 2 hours
3. ¼ of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
4. The marks obtained in the prelims are not counted for final selection but are considered for shortlisting candidates for the mains exam.

Assam APSC Mains Exam Pattern

1. The written exam will consist of 6 papers of conventional Essay/Objective Type.
2. Each paper will carry 250 marks
3. After clearing the written test, an interview will be held for 180 marks.
