APSC Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants should thoroughly check the eligibility requirements to ensure they are eligible to apply for the APSC CCE Exam 2026 which include age limits, nationality, and education qualification. APSC CCE has certain criteria for the candidates such as, they must have nationality of India, graduation degree holders, and being between the ages of 21 to 38 years.  Age relaxation is as per government norms for SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 5 years is given, OBC/MOBC candidates are allowed a 3-year relaxation, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are granted a relaxation of 10 years.

APSC Application Fee 2026

The application fee for various categories is as follows: For General/EWS candidates, the fee is Rs. 297.20. SC/ST candidates are required to pay Rs. 197.20. For other categories the fee is tabulated below.

Steps to Apply for the APSC Exam 2026

Candidates who want to apply for the APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2026 must follow these steps-

  1. Visit the recruitment website of the Assam Public Service Commission at https://apscrecruitment.in.
  2. On the home page. click on the link “Online Recruitment Portal”
  3. After clicking, scroll down the page and click on the Register Tab to start the registration process
  4. Enter your personal details, name, mobile, email, and other required details.
  5. After filling out these details, click to generate a One-time Password (OTP).
  6. Enter the OTP and complete the registration process.
  7. When your registration is completed, you can log in to the portal using your email and password.
  8. Now fill in all the details such as, educational. personal and upload the required documents.
  9. Pay the application fees and save your application for future use.

Assam APSC Exam Pattern 2026

The APSC Exam pattern for both Prelims and Mains is as follows.

  1. The prelims exam is an objective-type exam consisting of two papers; General Studies-I and General Studies-II
  2. The duration of each paper is 2 hours
  3. ¼ of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  4. The marks obtained in the prelims are not counted for final selection but are considered for shortlisting candidates for the mains exam.

There is no limit in the number of attempts. The candidate can go for the exam till they reach their maximum age limit which is 38 for the General category, 41 years for OBC, 43 for SC/ST, and 48 for PWD.
