The GATE exam is a computer-based test (CBT) for admission to postgraduate programs. The GATE exam will be required for candidates seeking admission to M.Tech, other PG courses, or PSU recruitment. This year, the GATE 2024 exam was held on 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th of February 2024 for admission into postgraduate programs.
About the GATE 2024 Exam
For the year 2024, IISc Bangalore is the organising institute for GATE Exam 2024. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee. The scores of GATE 2024 will be valid for 3 years as from the time of score card release date. The exam score is used by different Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture Government institutes to select students for master programs and Doctoral Programs. The total number of papers has been revised to 30 Subjects with the addition of two new subject papers Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

GATE 2024 Result Out
IISc Bangalore has released the GATE 2024 Result on 16th March 2024 at www.gate2024.iisc.ac.in for the candidates who appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) Exam. Candidates are required login details such as Application Number / Email ID and Password to check their results. The GATE 2024 Application Form has been available on the official website of IISc Bangalore on its official website. The apply online link for GATE 2023 has been available from 30th August 2023 to 05th October 2023 (Extended). GATE 2024 Application Fee
With the submission of duly filled application form, the candidates have to pay the required application fee else their applications will not be accepted. The category-wise GATE 2024 Application Fees has been tabulated below.

GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who is filling the online application form for GATE 2024 should be a citizen of India. The candidates outside India can apply for the GATE exam 2024 if they meet the given eligibility criteria
Nationality
Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility requirements for the admissions through GATE 2024 as mentioned below. The IIT Kharagpur will be announcing the eligibility criteria as applicable for the candidates willing to appear for GATE exam 2024.
➤ Must have completed or in the final year or in the pre-final year of their bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or;
➤ Must have completed or in the final year or in the pre-final year of their Post Graduate degree in any relevant science subjects
Education Qualification
Those candidates who had already obtained a degree higher than the ones mentioned in the table, are also eligible to appear in GATE 2024 examination. Check the qualification for the respective degress from the below table.

Age Limit
There is no age limit for appearing in the GATE 2024 exam. The candidates who want admission for Master's degree of require GATE qualified for any PSU recruitments.

GATE 2024 Exam Pattern
The GATE 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test). A total no. of 65 questions will be asked in the GATE online exam for 100 marks. The total time is allotted for this exam is 3 hours. Candidates can check the exam pattern of the Gate exam below.

GATE 2024 Cut Off Marks
The cut off marks will be released after the GATE 2024 exam will be conducted on the online mode. Till then the candidates can have a look at the previous year "GATE 2021 Cut Off marks and highest marks"
There are two types of Cut-Off, one is the Qualifying Cut Off and the other is Admission Cut Off which are explained below
GATE Qualifying Cut Off: These are the minimum marks that candidate should score to qualify for the exam. There is subject cut off also. GATE qualifying cut off will be released by the conducting body.
GATE Admission Cut Off: This Cut Off is released by the individual institutes and depend on the number of seats, number of applicants, category of applicants, etc.

GATE 2024 Admit Card
The conducting organization will be releasing the GATE Admit Card 2024 soon on its official website. The GATE 2024 exam date will be announced soon, and the admit card will be released on its official website. The candidates will need to enter their enrollment ID and password to download their GATE 2024 Admit card.
GATE 2024 Answer Key
Firstly the provisional answer will be released by the authority on the official website for each exam shift. The candidates will submit their objections to the answer key if any, and the final GATE 2024 Answer key will be released after assessing the objections submitted.
GATE Result 2024
The GATE 2024 results are expected to be released on its official website. Candidates can check their results along with the scorecard after the release of the result by the conducting body. These scores will be used by different institutes and PSU for the admission and recruitment process.
GATE 2024 Score Card
IISc Bangalore will be releasing GATE 2024 scorecards for the candidates who qualify in the written examination after the declaration of GATE results. The GATE 2024 mark sheet will be made available online on the official website (GOAPS) portal. Candidates need to enter their enrollment ID and password to download their GATE scorecard. GATE 2024 scorecard will contain all the important details including candidates marks, score, all India rank, qualifying marks, etc.
GATE 2024 Exam Centres
The candidates will have to choose an exam centre for GATE 2024 while filling the online application form. Allotment of GATE 2024 exam centres will be done as per preference and availability. There are eight zonal centres under which various cities are listed where the examination will be conducted.
